Places of Performance: Ft. Belvoir (1st IO Command)

IO Planning/ Role Playing:
  • MRX Role Players support the Army’s 1st IO Cmd’s MRX. Their purpose is to replicate key supported unit staff elements (e.g., J3/5, J33/34/35, J3 Air, Targeting Officer, STO, J2, etc.)  and Information Related Capabilities (IRC) subject matter experts (e.g., Electronic Warfare, Civil Military Operations, MISO, Cyber, etc.) which IO FST work with during a deployment. Role Players research their roles by studying key supported unit staff elements and associated missions and must be able to play multiple roles when required. During the MRX preparations phase, Role Players participate in extensive MRX MSEL Inject review and rehearsal sessions to identify errors, omissions and inconsistencies. They assist with editing, refining and re-rehearsing injects. During MRX Execution, they execute their roles IAW the MRX MSEL injects, scripts and time-lines. This includes attending Staff meetings, working groups, planning sessions, and ad-hoc face-to-face meetings. Role Players also provide written and verbal lessons learned regarding all phases of the MRX.

    • Electronic Warfare Officers
    • MISO (PSYOP) Generalist
  •  Surge Role Player Requirements
    • Active DoD TS/SCI
    • Strong Analytical, Critical Thinking, and Communications (oral and written) skills
    • Detailed knowledge of the application of Army Information Operations in Joint Environments
    • Practical application of Military and Joint Planning Processes (e.g., MDMP and JOPPS)
    • Proficiency in MS Office Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
    • Experience in handling, safeguarding and marking classified material
    • Must be articulate with the ability to read from a formal  script and improvise when required
    • Former military experience is mandatory – Joint/coalition experience is a plus
    • Deployed Joint Staff Experience is a plus
  • Theater Focus. Role Players must understand the current situation in the CENTCOM – Iraq and Syria AOR
  • Military Command Level. Role Players will be duplicating members of a deployed Conventional Coalition Joint Force Headquarters (i.e. Coalition Joint Land Component Command and Coalition Joint Task Force)
  • Adversary Focus. Role Players need an in-depth understanding of ISIS/ISIL/DAESH
  • Work Environment Requirements:
    • All work will be performed in a SCIF at Ft Belvoir, VA and the surrounding area
    • IA training and offsite in-processing required up to 3 weeks prior to check-in
    • Work areas do not have dining facilities, however microwave and refrigerators are available
    • Transportation is not provided (individuals must be able to meet military facility entry requirements)
    • Dress is Business Casual (Sports coat and tie equivalent)
