Place of Performance: Ft. Meade, Maryland

Job Description: Provide technical area expertise to advise on the development of training material to meet the Networks topic area objectives. Develop Networks topic area training material to meet Government identified training standards. Ensure Networks topic area training material is integrated and supports related topic area training materials. Conduct content review based on student evaluations and provide recommendations for training material revisions. Conduct periodic course content review and provide recommendations for training material revisions. Perform task and skill analysis of training requirements to develop learning objectives within training materials. Interact with training developers, curriculum managers and mission customers to assist with design and implementation of a total training package. Coordinate with ADET to incorporate training into the NCS curriculum as required.

Position Qualifications

·         TS/SCI with FS Poly

·        A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a directly related field and four (4) years’ work experience in the specified topic area (Networks) to include all of the following:

o    Networking Fundamentals

o    Internet working with TCP/IP

o    Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Modeling

o    Network Protocols

o    WAN/LAN Protocols Fundamentals

o    Networking Communication Methods

o    Digital/Telecommunications Convergence

o    Network Topologies

o    CISCO

·       In lieu of a Bachelor Degree, a minimum of eight (8) years of applied, practical work experience, within the last ten (10) years, in Networks to include the specified topic areas listed above.

·       Certification in either:

o    CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

o    CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

·       Two (2) years’ experience, within the last three (3) years in preparing and presenting skills-based instruction to adults in the specified topic area to include facilitating student participation through role playing or operational simulations

·       Formal, documented training in a web-based or distance-learning teaching technologies, to include on line forums and multimedia presentations (e.g., Centra, Blackboard, Questionmark, SumTotal)
